Pricing Audit

Hold one national shelf price and watch your FOB hold or compress market by market. Every state carries different excise, so you manage to a minimum FOB. Trade Spend is paid after the sale on what ships, never in the line, so it never sets your FOB.

How the audit works

One national SRP. The brand looks consistent on every shelf. The FOB is built in the line from just two margins, the Account and the Distributor.

Manage to a minimum FOB. In high excise markets you trim the in line Account and Distributor margins to hold the FOB at or above the floor. The tax is shared across the chain, not taken out of the supplier's FOB.

Trade Spend is not in the line. It is a percent of the FOB, paid after the sale on what actually ships. In tight markets you can shave it as a shared concession. The audit shows whether each market holds the floor and what the supplier nets after Trade Spend.

Pick a state and the excise loads automatically. Trim the Account and Distributor margins in tight markets to hold your floor.

Watch the compression escalate with the tax. Low excise states run standard. As excise climbs, the FOB slips toward the floor, so you trim the in line margins to hold it and shave Trade Spend as a shared concession.

The FOB is your revenue, protected to a minimum floor in every market, even where excise is high.

Trade Spend is paid only on what ships, so the incentive is aligned with getting you the highest defensible FOB and the most volume.

This audit is illustrative. Excise figures are loaded from a national reference table for planning only, and some states tax certain classes or higher ABV products differently, and control states may add markups. Verify the excise class for your product and market before you commit. Built for the Beverage Broker Network by BevAssets and Frontline Beverage.
